TERMINAL

There is no single right way to begin.
This is simply the MoMoZen way — take what serves you, leave what doesn't.
The only rule: arrive at the open with clarity, not noise.

01

Wake

consistency

The market opens at the same time every day. There's something to be said for waking at the same time too — not because discipline demands it, but because the body learns to arrive ready. When you wake at a consistent hour, the morning doesn't start with a scramble. It starts with space.

Give yourself more time than you think you need. The pre-market session begins long before 9:30. So does the best version of you.

02

Hydrate

nourishment

This one starts the night before. Not with alarm settings or watchlist prep — with a simple glass of water and a spoonful of intention. By the time morning arrives, your first drink is already waiting.

the morning water — momozen style prep starts the night before

— the night before —

  • 1 glass still water, room temperature
  • 1–2 tablespoons chia seeds, stirred in
  • Cover and leave overnight to bloom

— in the morning —

  • Juice of half a lemon, squeezed in fresh
  • A dash of ground ginger
  • Fresh chopped ginger root — if you want to be fancy
Drink it slowly. Before the phone. Before the charts. Before anything asks something of you.

03

Move

body before screen

The body has been still for hours. Before you ask it to sit still for several more, give it a moment to remember itself. Nothing intense — this isn't training. It's a conversation with the body before the market asks for your full attention.

Light stretching

Neck, shoulders, wrists. The places that hold tension during a screen-heavy morning. Five minutes is enough to notice the difference.

Gentle yoga or floor work

A short flow if you practice, a simple cat-cow and forward fold if you don't. Open the hips. Settle the spine. The mind follows the body.

A short walk, if time allows

Natural light and fresh air before pre-market opens is an underrated edge. The screens will be there when you return.

04

Breathe

before the open

This is the threshold. The last step before the charts and the golden sherpa. Five minutes of box breathing won't make you a better technician — but it may make you a better decision-maker. The nervous system that enters the market calm is not the same one that enters in a hurry.

Breathe before you look at anything. This is the gate.

Open MoMoZen

the tool sequence

The guides and helpers come before the weapon. This is intentional. When the tool opens, you are already prepared — not still becoming prepared. The sequence matters less than the intention behind it.

I

Open MoMoZen

Launch the golden sherpa. Review the pre-market landscape — gappers, relative volume, the morning's candidates. Let the data arrive without reacting to it yet.

the guide
II

Run the scan

Let the golden sherpa surface the morning's candidates. Review catalysts, float, relative volume. Build the watchlist with patience — not urgency. You are looking, not hunting.

III

Open the charts

Now the weapon. With your watchlist already formed and your mind already settled, the chart is confirmation — not discovery. You know what you're looking for. Let it find you.

So are you — when you've done the work to arrive.
