- Fading from open — price 3%+ below open AND below VWAP.
- Falling knife — day change ≤ −15% AND below VWAP.
- Post-spike fade — HOD made in first 30 min, now 30%+ off HOD and below VWAP (or 50%+ off HOD regardless of VWAP).
- Downtrend structure — lower highs + lower lows over the last 6–7 bars, below VWAP.
- Retest + thin volume — retest of a prior high within 1.5%, combined with second-push volume under 50% of the first push.
